The theme for this year's Festival is "Baile Tradicional y Popular".

"Since they adore dancing for social activity and fun, they incorporate dancing into their difficult daily life as often as possible. The draw upon their rich dance cultural legacies which are both broad and deep." - Yvonne Daniel.

The secular, popular music and dances are fundamental to the daily survival of many cultures, traditions and artists. Dance and music serve as an expression and as a release from the everyday problems, worries, and hardships people experience.
