About Obrayan...

I studied extensively in EVA (Escuela Vocacional de Arte/Vocational School of the Arts) and ENA (Escuela Nacional de Arte/The National School of the Arts) both in Havana, Cuba. I was trained in trombone, piano, percussion and vocals. I played with various groups in Cuba such as Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco,Tania Pantoja,Nelson Manuel y la Corte,Mariana y la Makinaria, Juancarlos Alfonzo y Dan Den, Jorgito Melodia. I travelled internationally with the orchestra Adalberto Alvarez y Su Son. We performed in countries such as France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Venazuela, Mexico and the United States. In the last two years in the United States I have performed authentic music from Cuba, additional Latin styles, Jazz, Funk and Rock. I also have taught music in elementary, middle and high schools both as a teacher of residency and as a guest teacher in preparation for specific student performances. I also have formed my own group, Obryzon, which is a musical Group that plays primarily Cuban based music and my own compilations.
